The Role
Based in Godalming, Surrey, this is an entry level role suitable for somebody wishing to start their career in HR or a role for somebody who has participated in HR processes in a broader role and wishes to work in HR full time.
You will provide comprehensive HR service to the Firm with the aim of adding genuine value to the Business. This role will be a mixture of Administrative and Advisory duties.
- This role will be generic, focussing on HR administration and then gaining more exposure to different elements within HR.
- Processing of Maternity/Paternity paperwork
- Upkeep of HR files including issuing of induction packs, new starter information, offer letters and contracts of employment
- Carry out new hire inductions
- To support the HR Director with the development of relevant HR policies and procedures adhering to best practice
- Support the HR team with the administration of employee benefit schemes
- Ensure all eligible employees are covered under the Firm’s benefits, including carrying out any required administration change processes
- Support the annual salary reviews as applicable
- Provide assistance to the HR Team on projects as required
- Co-ordinate the smooth administration of Shipleys LLP recruitment requirements
- Occasional travel to London will be required
Person specification
- Previous experience in HR is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to prioritise and organise own workload to meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to develop and sustain relationships with staff at all levels
- Strong relationship building skills, with the proven track record to effectively influence key stakeholders
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft office, especially Excel
