This is a fantastic opportunity to join the University of Southampton, one of the UK’s leading research Universities. We are seeking to appoint a Student Fees Assistant to work in the Finance, Planning & Analytics directorate. We’re seeking a dynamic, focused individual to join the Transactions Hub, building relationships across the department, the university and with our students and external customers.
As a strong administrator you will need to have meticulous attention to detail, be organised and conscientious, work in a calm and professional manner with excellent numeracy and interpersonal skills, and actively support the team to explore new ideas and ways to continually improve the service and processes.
The Role
Joining the Finance, Planning and Analytics team as a Student Fees Assistant, you’ll support the efficient charging and payment of tuition fees, accommodation fees and other miscellaneous services with a goal to deliver maximum value for money and benefit to the University. You’ll work with a diverse range of stakeholders, including our student community, providing essential advice and valuable administrative support to our students, colleagues, and external customers with fee enquiries.
You’ll have the ability to efficiently organise your work activities, present a calm and professional manner with excellent interpersonal skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
You’ll work closely with the Credit Control and Accounts Receivable teams to share knowledge and skills to help develop a larger cohesive team that supports succession planning and recognises and encourages individual’s talents.
