Job Purpose
We are looking for an exceptional Student Experience Administrator to support the delivery of an exciting portfolio of events, initiatives and activities to enhance the student experience. Achievement of this objective will support the student learning journey, improve student outcomes and have a positive impact on student success, retention, employability outcomes, and student satisfaction.
As a key member of the School of Education Student Experience team, the role holder will provide administrative support and coordinate activities and initiatives playing a central role in supporting the enhancement of the student experience.
Reporting to the School of Education Student Experience Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team and have plenty of opportunities to collaborate and develop.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the delivery of an efficient and effective administrative service to support the School’s student experience activity including liaison with key partners both internal and external to the School in the organisation of key resources.
2. Maximise customer experience, using knowledge and judgement to provide first-contact resolution for general enquiries relating to student experience activities across the school with minimal supervision.
3. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through identifying and supporting the implementation of process improvements to enhance the student and staff experience.
4. Support the coordination and delivery of student events running concurrently.
5. Assist with the delivery of student communications (using social media and other appropriate channels) to help develop a sense of community and enrich the student experience.
6. Assist the Student Experience team in providing support for student retention and transition initiatives within the School. This will include:
- Ongoing management of digital resources e.g. Moodle
- Effective record keeping in relation to events registration and collation of feedback
- Maintaining records, information and data relating to the projects
7. Clerk any relevant Short Life Working Groups associated with Student Experience.
8. Development and maintenance of website for Student Experience.
9. Ensure full compliance with University-wide policies and procedures in relation to the management of confidential information and personal data.
10. Undertake Continuing Professional Development to progress the role and to support the achievement of the University’s and School’s strategic aims.
11. To undertake any other relevant duties appropriate to the post/grade subsequently allocated by the Head of Professional Services and/or Student Experience Manager.

Essential:
A1 SCQF Level 7 (HNC, VQ3, Highers, City & Guilds or equivalent) or
A2 Ability to demonstrate the competencies required to undertake the duties associated with the level of post having acquired the necessary knowledge and skills in a similar role.

C12 Excellent demonstrable knowledge of MS Word, Excel and the use of IT generally.
C13 Excellent IT knowledge – Microsoft Office.
Desirable:
D1 Experience of using social media, blogging and digital design software (e.g. Canva).
D2 Knowledge of the University systems, eg, MyCampus, T4 software and Virtual Learning Environments [VLE], including Moodle, and other relevant online learning platforms.
D3 Knowledge and understanding of the University structures, policy, practices and procedures.
D4 Knowledge and understanding related to student experience and participation, including barriers to participation.
Experience
Essential:
E1 Extensive demonstrable relevant administrative experience or, without relevant qualifications, evidence of progression and development gained through relevant work experience in a busy office environment.
E2 Significant experience of delivering a customer-focused service.
E3 Demonstrable experience of working with a variety of stakeholders and taking ideas forward into practical action plans.
E4 Significant experience of working in a highly administrative and governance driven environment.
E5 Experience of organising events/meetings.
Desirable:
F1 Experience of effective liaison and of building professional relationships.
F2 Experience within a higher education setting, including comprehensive knowledge of administrative and organisational systems.
Terms and Conditions
Salary will be Grade 5, £25,138 - £29,605 per annum.
This post is full time (35 hours per week) and open ended.
