About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Student Conduct and Complaints Department for a fixed term period of 12 months (maternity cover).
The Student Conduct and Complaints department oversee the implementation of university regulations in relation to formal conduct and complaint matters. This includes a wide range of casework such as:
- formal complaints linked to the quality of services
- academic misconduct such as plagiarism and collusion
- non-academic misconduct (e.g. sexual misconduct, bullying and harassment).
- Responding to complaints raised with the ombudsmen, the Office of the Independent Adjudicator
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the operation of the student conduct and complaints processes including line management of the administrative support within the Student Conduct and Complaints Team.
You will apply expert knowledge of University policy and the regulatory framework to advise colleagues and students to ensure compliance with relevant Regulations and procedures. You will be expected to pro-actively review and contribute to reviews of regulations, policy and procedures in line with sector updates or changing needs of internal and external stakeholders.
