Summary:

The candidate will provide support to the business by assisting with the installation, configuration, and set-up of our new machines and systems. This position will work closely with all members on our IT team and requires the ability to work effectively with minimal direction and supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following; other duties may be assigned as required.

• Unpack new machines from shipping boxes and inspecting components for any damage
• Organize hardware in storage areas and prepare components and peripherals (e.g., keyboards, power supplies, mice, and software) for deployment
• Notify any discrepancy or damage regarding the new equipment
• Re-image systems following the company's procedures and guidelines.
• Add systems in Active Directory and install additional software if required
• Assist with data transfer and providing cables, equipment or setting up machines in Toronto Head Office
• Work collaboratively with the IT project team to ensure the project tasks are running smoothly and on time
• Assist with generating documentation and reports
• Contact support (internal and/or external) to arrange machines repair/replacement if needed.

Qualifications:

• Unpack new machines from shipping boxes and inspecting components for any damage
• Currently or recent graduate from a University or College with a degree in IT
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work at all levels of the organization
• Detail-orientated and highly motivated, self-starter, able to multi-task and work well under pressure
• Great problem solving skills
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Candidate must have strong organizational skills
