Are you an experienced youth worker or safeguarding lead looking to make a positive difference in a thriving secondary school?
Your Opportunity
In this fast paced challenging role, you will hot the ground running by providing daily operational support as the Student Welfare Officer. You will be required to take part in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings, and contributing to the assessment of children. In this rewarding and varied role you will deputize for the DSL in all operational duties and act as lead Deputy DSL (with the exception of LT duties, safer recruitment and staff allegations). What we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced youth worker or safeguarding lead to provide daily operational advice and support to staff on child welfare, safeguarding and child protection matters. You will work with staff, parents/carers and students in the school to ensure all children receives support for welfare and safeguarding issues and can access the education provided for them; supporting individuals where necessary to achieve their full potential. This role is 37.5 hours per week term time only (plus 2 weeks per year on call and INSET days). The salary band for the role is £24,982 to £33,592.

The Details
Salary: £24,982 to £33,592 FTE
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week (8am to 4pm), 41 weeks per year (term time only plus 2 weeks in the holidays to cover DSL on call)
