Corporate Communications Summer Student – Contract (Hybrid)
Reporting to the Senior Corporate Communications Manager & Brand, this role will give you a great opportunity to learn from industry professionals. You will be supporting our corporate communication team with planning Canon events, assisting with day-to-day operation within our team and learning essential systems and processes of a corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will provide hands-on support for our Corporate Communications team to plan and organize our company events.
- Coordinate with professional vendors and team members to ensure all information, equipment and requests are present and completed smoothly.
- Aid set-up of décor, logistics, customer-facing support, and overall tasks of creating elaborate and engaging events.
- Help our team create and update Canon content for our employee website and other initiatives.
- Champion administrative tasks for our Corporate Communication team which can include a variety of computer-related and organizational requests.
To Succeed, You Will Need:
- Work Experience is not needed!
- A Highschool Diploma or equivalency in addition to a passion in Marketing, Communication, or Public Relation.
- Basic computer competency – Microsoft Outlook (basic email correspondence), Excel (ability to input data into a spreadsheet) and any other computer knowledge is a plus!
- Preparation and Organization skills to coordinate with other team members on multiple events and tasks.
- Ability to communicate professionally in a Corporate Environment.
- Eagerness and openness to a variety of tasks – this role will provide opportunities to learn different aspects of Corporate Communication and shape your understanding of different roles within the team.
HYBRID WORK
- We offer a Hybrid work schedule. You will be in the office Mondays and Wednesdays each week, and can work from home for the remainder of the week (subject to specific business needs requiring office attendance)
