We are recruiting for a Document Controller to join us here at Octavius, for our Wales & Western framework, based from an office in Swindon.
We are a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.
You'll be working on…. (what your role and responsibility is)
- Responsible for uploading and issuing of incoming Documents, including Drawings, Specifications and Schedules.
- Registering and electronic filing of documents.
- Maintaining registers and schedules and the collation of information for the Operating and Maintenance Manuals, and the Customer Care File.
- Support the sites and management team by ensuring that the administration of projects/tenders together with the office set up runs efficiently.

- Ensure Customer relationships internally and externally are understood and maintained.
- Promote the Octavius brand.
- Actively and visibly promote exemplar document controls in business decision making to create the right environment to improve performance on a habitual basis across the organisation.
- Ensuring that the appropriate resources are available to maintain accurate site records and Octavius are fully protected.
- Ensure that all BREEAM and BIM processes and procedures are adhered to and you continuously look for the most effective way of working.
- The registration and electronic filing of site documentation and the collation of Operating and Maintenance manuals and Customer Care file.
- Ensure that direct reports are meeting defined accountabilities and responsibilities.

- Experience of document management processes and Systems
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Capable MS Excel user and other MS Office applications
