Up to Full Time position – 27 hrs to full time
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is keen to develop and work within our team. We are willing to train and develop the right candidate and provide support to reach both your and our long term goals.
Bicester is a thriving and growing market town, a short distance from Oxford, with an expanding population.
Your Role
Working within our team of GPs to provide patient care, including on an urgent need basis and with scope to expand/ continue areas of interest you may have including chronic disease management such as Diabetes and follow up consultations. The practice is very active in national and regional clinical research programmes and there are opportunities for you to be trained and supported in this stimulating role should you wish
Our experienced GPs, nurse practitioners and paramedic will support and mentor you. We have an open, learning environment with weekly in-house educational sessions, regular audit and SEA meetings
Desired Qualifications
- Independent prescriber ( or working towards this)
- Masters level qualification in advanced practice or working towards similar level
- Alternatively similar modules/ training covering physical assessment, diagnostics and treatment planning.

Our Surgery
- Purpose built surgery with plans to expand over next 2/3 years.
- List size of 16,300
- 6 GP partner practice with 5 salaried GPs and 2 GP trainees. We currently have three nurse practitioners who work with the GP-led team providing support for urgent care clinics as well as managing chronic disease. They are supported by clinical pharmacist, paramedic, social prescribers and a practice nursing team. This vacancy has arisen as a result of one team member pursuing a professional interest outside of primary care .
