Axcis Education are looking for teaching assistants who have a Psychology degree or are currently studying undergraduate or postgraduate degrees. we are looking for staff who are interested in child psychology, social work or psychotherapy for example.
Axcis Education work with a number of SEND and mainstream schools supporting pupils with SEMH, ADHD, Anxiety, trauma and staff with a psychology background have an excellent ability to support these pupils. If you have prior experience working with pupils, young people or SEND support with children or adults that will be beneficial but not essential. We have a range of part time or full time posts in the Bournemouth, Christchurch or Poole areas. The roles are term time only, school hours, working 8:30 to 15:45 and offer competitive rates of pay.
We have exciting opportunities working in schools as a SEND teaching assistant. You will be able to build relationships with pupils that need 1-1 support in the classroom. You will support their development, be in communication with the school’s SENCO and build professional relationships with important staff and pupils. You will also work alongside the class teacher leading 1-1 activities or small group work sessions and following school policies in behaviour management.
