Open-Ended - Permanent: Full Time - 35 Hours per Week
The Opportunity:
A fantastic opportunity to support students to fully participate and succeed in their chosen programme of study, working closely with University academic and professional services staff and external agencies as required.
As a Student Advisor you will be the first contact point for students within the Business School, providing professional guidance and support, including additional assistance where needed, to navigate the University support systems. Working closely with academic and professional services teams, the role will enable students to achieve their potential, as well as ensure parity of experience for all students.

Your skills and attributes for success:
We are looking for individuals who like working in a vibrant environment.
- Educated to HND level, or equivalent related experience (previous relevant work experience, or broad experience).
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to the complex areas of student support.
- Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to remain calm and centre the needs of the student, being able to provide a safe and welcoming space for students.
- Experience of working independently and as part of the team to prioritise workloads.
- Active listening and excellent communication skills.
