CAN is a specialist civil engineering contractor working throughout the UK and abroad. Due to expansion, we are looking to recruit a Reports Writer to work in the Reports Department within the Structures division, based at our head office in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

Responsibilities:

• Analysis of structural inspection data
• liaising with in house and third-party laboratories for the testing of construction samples and the creation of factual defect reports for our clients.

Experience and skills required:

• Civil/ Structural Engineering degree
• Previous reports writing experience
• Good IT skills (including familiarity with Microsoft Office)
• Proficient English language and literacy skills
• Basic AutoCAD knowledge would also be preferred, but training will be provided
• Can work independently and capable of multi-tasking
• Ability to organise, prioritise and problem solve are essential, as is a keen sense of attention to detail.
