TyneHealth was founded in 2006 and became the North Tyneside GP Federation in 2014, representing all the practices in North Tyneside.
Together with our GP members, we deliver improved health care in the community to over 215,000 residents, by bringing care closer to patients’ homes.
We work in partnership with commissioners, local hospitals, the third sector and our patients to provide community based, medically led services.
We are recruiting 2 fulltime Medical Administrators who will work across the North Tyneside area covering 28 practices in Whitley Bay, North Shields, Wallsend and Longbenton.
The hours for this position are 37.5 hours per week and could include hours from 8am-8pm Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm on Saturdays and 11am-3pm on Sundays. An element of flexibility is required for this role as there will not be a standard working pattern each week, shifts will be allocated in advance so you can enjoy a good work life balance.
There will also be optional overtime that you can select should you wish to do so.
£21,450.00 per annum, 5.6 weeks annual leave, NEST pension scheme. Optional overtime also available using our software platform.
This position will involve working in either GP practices, Care Homes or Children's Residential Homes to assist with the day to day running of the facility. Duties and requirements will vary across the different locations.
The successful applicant will also work across the services we offer within TyneHealth such as enhanced access, community falls and spirometry.
We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate strong administrative skills and has experience working in a generalist administrative role covering many aspects.
You will be highly organised, with good attention to detail and have the ability to liaise confidently and effectively both on the telephone and in writing.
Knowledge of Clinical System advantageous.
It is a fast-paced role so the successful candidate will have experience of multi-tasking and be able to work using their own initiative.
- You will have excellent communication and customer service skills and be a confident dealing with new situations and environments.
- You will offer general assistance to patients and the clinical team in a positive and friendly manner
- You will have excellent IT skills and be able to accurately enter data into clinical systems such as booking and cancelling medical appointments, record patient attendance, log any complaints, send tasks to other staff members, register new patients.
