Job description
Salary: £19,443.65 per annum + Salary Supplement to bring up to £10.90 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Swanton Road Depot
We are looking for a Streets and Grounds Operative who will join our service-driven street cleansing and grounds maintenance team focusing on helping to maintain and improve the standard of streets, parks, open spaces and housing areas based Norwich. This role will also involve grounds Maintenance in various Norwich City Centre locations.
As part of this role the postholder will be required to drive various vehicles within the scope of the appropriate license, therefore a full UK driving license is essential for this role.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
- Litter Picking/Street Cleansing duties
- Grounds Maintenance duties such as sweeping, pruning, hedge cutting and grass cutting
- Carry out basic care and maintenance to plant, tools and equipment
- Ensure daily checks on vehicles and equipment
Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for candidates who has demonstrable experience of working in a physical role and has evidence of having worked as part of a team as the day to day duties.
