Street Fundraising Manager for ACAA
About us:
The Afghanistan and Central Asian Association (ACAA) is an award-winning charity with a long history of delivering advice, support and integration workshops for refugees and asylum seekers across the UK. It already runs a highly acclaimed range of support services for its clients and seeks now to address the needs of newly arrived refugees and asylum seekers. The ACAA was started by a refugee family who have successfully integrated into UK society and used their lived experience to help others. ACAA has also managed two Citizens Advice Centres’ in Kabul and Pul-e-Khumri.
Why we need you:
The Afghanistan and Central Asian Association is looking for a Street Fundraising Manager. The role will be flexible and voluntary. You will have the opportunity to volunteer from a minimum of once a week to as much as you wish.
Key responsibilities:
● Manage a team of Volunteer Street Fundraisers and their locations
● Be a point of reference for volunteers
● Raise awareness on Afghans’ conditions and needs and the organisation’s projects
● Fundraise at least once a week
● Fundraise in various locations, especially outside train and tube stations - i.e. Canary Wharf, Bank - and outside mosques in London
● Attend any relevant training for the role
The ideal candidate will:
● have leadership and decision-making skills
● be able to work under pressure while organising volunteers’ area of action
● have good verbal communication
● be friendly and professional
● be flexible and willing to travel across London
● work minimum once a week
● have fundraising and leadership experience

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary: £12,000.00 per year
