Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy, Account Based Marketing
Reporting to: Director, Marketing Strategy, Account Based Marketing
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
The Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy, Account Based Marketing is a global role, responsible for ABM strategy and plans that deliver highly targeted, personalized marketing for strategic accounts. This role will ultimately be held accountable for measurable plans that deliver against account-specific growth and retention objectives. The strategy and plans will be created in close partnership with Sales & Account Management, and in alignment with the Corporate Affairs & Marketing organization. This role is customer first and data-driven.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Applying the ABM framework at LSEG to develop ABM strategies and plans for one-to-one and one-to-few ABM accounts and programs- Defining objectives and goals for the ABM plans in collaboration with the ABM Director and Sales & Account Management.
- Creating customer-first plans aligned to customer strategic agendas, including identifying key buyers and influencers, and target value propositions to enhance account performance at all levels.
- Defining reporting and dashboard requirements to consistently measure the success of ABM and inform continuous optimization of campaigns and plans.
- Handling third party agency relationships.
KEY ORGANIZATIONAL INTERFACES:
This is a cross functional, global role that will need to partner closely with teams across the organization:
Insight & Analytics: will need to work closely with Insight & Analytics teams to support the identification of account opportunities, as well as supervising the efficiency of ABM and sales.
- Marketing:
- Integrated Marketing: ABM will need to work closely with the Integrated Campaigns and Regional teams and the wider Integrated Marketing functions to share strategic plans to inform the Integrated Marketing teams (Digital, Performance Marketing and Automation) to build execution plans.
- Marketing Strategy: ABM will work closely with colleagues across the Marketing Strategy group.
- Content: ABM will need to work closely with Content Studio teams to develop content that is customer specific and personalized for ABM; or designed to increase Sales & AM ability to articulate value for sales enablement.
- Sales & Account Management: ABM will need to work closely with S&AM to define and deliver joined up Account Plans and Campaigns in order to incubate ABM for selected customers, and to define requirements, deliver and track impact of sales enablement initiatives.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience
- Direct experience in the fintech field or information industry.
- A seasoned marketer with extensive knowledge of marketing campaign planning and execution with a minimum 8 year’s experience.
- Proven experience navigating complex global and matrixed businesses.
- Four-year college degree in business or marketing related field.
- Direct experience in marketing or strategy fields.
- Track record of engaging senior leadership and be a motivator for change.
Knowledge and Skills
- Exceptional communication skills navigating and influencing at different levels of an organization.
- Demonstrable experience of ABM.
- Effective relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.
- Expert understanding of customer data and insight analysis.
- Strong business processes acumen.
- Experience using key martech e.g., Eloqua, Hive 9, Adobe and DemandBase a plus.
- Strong experience across marketing tactics and channels to deliver optimal results
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, in highly matrixed organization, with a focus on results.
- Success in strategy delivery.
- Uses their initiative and who is solutions-orientation.
