Job description
Do you want to join an innovative, creative and inclusive culture, at an exciting seed-stage Fintech?
Lumio is providing personal finance management for families, building smart tech so they can share, plan and grow together. Recognised as a Top 100 Fintech Disruptor, ahead of Monzo and Chip, with coverage from Forbes, Tech Nation and Sifted by FT, we’re empowering families to take control of their financial future and be proud of how they provide.
As Lumio’s Strategy & Operations Manager, you'll work directly with Lumio's leadership team to execute on key business priorities, applying your valuable skills across all functions of an early stage startup. We think this role is great for someone who is on the cusp of moving into a Chief of Staff or Head of Ops role and can make an immediate impact, or who wants to be a founder one day.
After raising over £1.7M to date, we're fundraising again this year so we can continue to develop amazing technology and expand as a global team. We're at a critical junction in our growth and need your help.
As our Strategy & Operations Manager, you’ll have these skills
- This role is less about specific domain knowledge (but it does help) and more about your ability to work strategically, embrace unfamiliar operational challenges and upskill quickly on new topics.
- You can build context quickly - you can figure out what information you'll need to solve a problem, and you can find it quickly.
- You know how to research new things and summarise what you've learned to get others up to speed, ready to input on a decision.
- You have strong execution habits, with an effective system in place for managing your own time and workload. You can manage concurrent processes effectively.
- You can find and analyse data to enable great decision-making by each team member at all levels of the business.
- You're emotionally intelligent and able to navigate sensitive issues. You communicate frequently, clearly and concisely.
You'll work across the entire business, ensuring our operations run smoothly, and executing on special projects with the entire leadership team.
As a generalist, the work you do will change, but you'll always be working on key business priorities. Some of the things you'll do are:
- Data: you'll lead our regular metrics reporting, investigate critical issues and build a culture of data-led decision-making
- Strategy & Planning: you'll be in close proximity to our COO (Adrian) and CEO (Charlie), advising and executing on our strategy, organising our OKR process and helping the leadership team optimise their time
- People: you'll build, implement and automate processes, manage day-to-day HR queries and influence Lumio's people-first culture
- Finance: you'll work with our external accountants on our bookkeeping, manage our cashflow, and support our financial modelling and funding
- Legal: you'll liaise with our external counsel and carry out research to support Adrian, our COO (and experienced lawyer), with legal issues
