Job description
Walberton Nursery are offering an exciting opportunity to join the team in the position of Crop Grower. This role will have specific responsibility to undertake the growing of a range of crops, achieving a minimum of 93% sell out on all product lines and working with the Line Manager’s to identify and plan activity. To achieve these tasks, you will either be working on your own or overseeing and directing a team.
This role will focus on all key production tasks (watering, weeding, feeding, trimming and crop pest and disease identification) whilst maintaining high standards, accurate record keeping and ensuring all activity is undertaken safely following relevant procedures.
Candidates must have experience and practical horticultural knowledge in commercial production. Excellent organisational and communication skills and experience of leading a team required.
Working annualised hours averaging 39 hours per week (less in winter and longer in summer).
Salary IRO £25,400.00 per annum depending on experience.
