POSITION:
We are recruiting an analyst to join our M&A and Corporate Strategy teams at Jonas Software UK and Europe, a division of Constellation Software.
Supporting both M&A deals and corporate strategy projects, you'll be working with a driven, high-energy M&A team and senior leaders within our organisation.
Location: This is a remote based role with travel in England (primarily Oxfordshire) c. 2-3 days per month for in-person meetings.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
M&A
- Engaging with acquisition target shareholders, executives and financial advisors
- Organizing, analysing and presenting preliminary information received from potential acquisition targets
- Building valuation models to determine price and structure of potential offers
- Supporting financial and operational due diligence, with involvement across activities of multiple teams, including specialists in human resources, research and development, tax and legal departments
- Preparing investment memorandums, discussing the investment rationale and strategy for the business post-closing
- Assisting in the integration of newly acquired businesses and the tracking of post-closing performance.
Corporate strategy
- Engaging with the Group CEO, the group executive team and leadership across our brands
- Gathering, analysing and presenting operational data to surface strategic opportunities
- Owning development and delivery of various operational reports to summarise group performance
- Identifying and delivering a variety of strategic projects to improve group performance.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience at a top-tier accounting firm, consulting firm, or investment bank with preference given to those with an accounting/finance background and/or audit experience
- Strong Excel skills, proficient in building complex models
- Capable of translating raw/imperfect data into thoughtful analysis that will be delivered to senior executives
- A strong understanding (or interest/curiosity) in the technology and software industry is an asset.

- Advanced verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to communicate with Senior Executives, prospects, lawyers, accountants and investment bankers

- Self-motivated, organised, and able to plan own work schedule, to set and monitor personal performance goals
- Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task between various ongoing responsibilities
- Strong integrity and trustworthiness, with the ability to manage sensitive information and relationships with a high degree of professionalism
