This role reports to the director of content and communications and is part of the brand and strategy team in Wipfli’s growth division. Our growing brand and strategy team includes more than 50 members. This is a new role to Wipfli so the right candidate would be one that is comfortable with stepping in and guiding a rapidly maturing marketing operation. The team you’ll be joining is a collaborative, energetic and creative group of content creators, researchers and strategists. Wipfli is looking for an experienced and innovative content strategist to help develop, measure and execute content strategies to elevate the Wipfli brand and generate MQLs.
Candidate should have proven content strategy experience and is able to analyze content marketing data, identify trends, understanding B2B demand strategy and anticipate consumer needs.
The role will maintain a 30,000-foot-view of our entire library of content to ensure we’re using the right platforms, right content types and right messages to achieve our firm’s goals.
The content strategist’s responsibilities include determining which formats best communicate various types of content, identifying ways to increase brand awareness and leveraging persona research. To be successful as a content strategist, you should be able to collaborate with the brand & strategy and growth teams to provide strategic oversite of sales material, content, campaigns and platforms, and turn strategy into tactics and tactics into ROI. This role is both strategic and tactical, focused on delivering results and realize the objectives of the business team.
In this role, you’ll need to have exceptional presentation skills, work well with diverse teams and be able to coach other teams as we mature and scale our marketing operation.
Responsibilities
- Determine which formats best communicate various types of content
- Analyze user engagement metrics to determine effectiveness of content
- Analyze content marketing data to identify trends and anticipate consumer needs
- Develop and apply a solid understanding of the target audience through online and traditional market research
- Work with our research team to maintain client personas and relative audience segmentation
- Solicit and receive client feedback, evaluate and recommend refinements and help resolve issues
- Work with digital, account and content teams to translating campaign strategy into tangible ROI
- Conduct content audits to ID gaps, opportunities to improve, extended or contracting shelf life and the impact of the entire library of content
- Coordinate editorial calendar and projects with the content manager
- Work with business teams to understand specific business goals, and evangelize and educate content strategy

Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a content strategist, B2B experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
- Sound knowledge of keyword research tools, social media platforms, search engine optimization (SEO), and search engine marketing (SEM).
- Deep understanding of current and future digital trends across all platforms

Wipfli supports equal pay for equal work and values each candidate’s unique experiences and skill sets. The estimated pay range for this position is: $60,000 to $100,000. Compensation within the range is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, individuals' skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business needs and applicable employment laws.
Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
