Responsibilities:
- Cultivate growth of client business; support the teams in identifying and recommending new content opportunities for clients, and lead content strategy proposals for existing and prospective clients
- Provide senior-level consulting, planning, and leadership across multiple content strategy projects and/or accounts
- Manage and mentor content team members as well as cross discipline contributors as they execute content work across client projects to ensure optimal outcomes for both our clients and our team members
Bring facts and insights to life
- Support research initiatives to uncover content, customer, cultural, technological, and industry/macro-level insights
- Participate in the creation of various strategic deliverables informed by research, including content guidelines, content pillars, content governance models, content workflows, content audits, content requirements documentation, KPI frameworks, etc.
- Ensure the use of data and insights to create compelling and well-justified recommendations for the client's content
Devise & execute human-centric, content strategies
- Oversee strategic and requirement content deliverables, including analyzing content, conducting audits, defining content pillars and operationalizing content processes
- Collaborate with UX to organize site navigation, create taxonomies and design content models that support ease of use, accessibility, SEO and organizational objectives
- Collaborate with designers and writers on guidelines for use case, interactions, accessibility, and localization for frameworks and components
- Implement governance & evaluation frameworks for content creation, deployment and maintenance across digital ecosystems to ensure content quality & effectiveness are maintained.
- Test and validate content, messaging, navigation and user journeys with internal and external users
- Collaborate with and drive SEO activities across the content strategy process to ensure content is responsive and optimized to user search behavior and maintains a high level of visibility.
Inspire and guide clients towards outcomes
- Develop and articulate compelling presentations for external clients and internal briefings
- Continuously engage the client, other stakeholders, and the team to ensure the team is building the right content and delivering against the defined content strategy
- Evaluate results and help optimize content post-launch
Continually evolve and grow
- Continuously learn about consumer, content, technology and business trends
- Provide content thought leadership to clients, team members, and the broader Apply Digital organization
- Partner with the Head of Content to continuously evolve the Content Team’s practice and methodologies
What We're looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in a digital content strategy role
- 2+ years of experience in a consulting or agency company
- MBA or Bachelor’s Degree in-related field is an asset
- Strong experience in digital and customer content strategy
- Strong experience working directly with and influencing clients
- Solid understanding of / exposure to technology solutions, platforms, applications, etc. that enable content experiences
- Excellent data analysis and research skills
- Excellent communication skills
- The resilience to work in a flexible, start-up environment
- Collaborative spirit; team player
- Initiative; able to juggle multiple projects at once
