As Stories Assistant, you'll be pivotal in capturing and sharing powerful stories, collaborating with storytellers and key teams to support Scope’s campaigns, media activities, fundraising appeals, and influencing.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone aspiring to start a career in Stories and storytelling. You'll not only manage day-to-day administrative tasks but also contribute to writing, editing, and producing compelling storyteller content.

At the heart of our Stories team, you'll support the growth of our storyteller network and the gathering of compelling stories.
You’ll use your exceptional customer service skills to strengthen relationships with storytellers, earn trust, and encourage sharing of lived experiences with Scope.
You’ll help craft impactful narratives from interview transcripts, build trusted relationships with storytellers and ensure all of our work is driven by storytellers’ consent.
Your key liaison role with other teams will be pivotal in responding to project briefs and supporting in the delivery of impactful stories.
Beyond this, you'll monitor story sharing across Scope, expand our repository of storyteller quotes and support in the development of story-driven content across Scope’s channels.
Your dedication and talent will directly contribute to raising awareness, promoting empathy, and advocating for disability equality.
About you
We are looking for someone who has a passion to fight for disability equality, and work with disabled people towards this.
You will be organised, with great attention to detail, able to learn new administrative processes and ensure they’re upheld. Ideally you’ll have experience working with a database.
You’ll also have strong administrative skills, and ideally some demonstrable experience in writing and subediting copy for different audiences.
