Stores Manager

Working Hours:

Monday -Thursday 07:30 - 17:00 with 2 x 15 minute paid breaks and 1 x 30 minute unpaid lunch

Friday 07:30 - 13:15 with 1 x 15 minute paid break.

General Description / Main Duties

• Your main role will be to pick orders (kits) of electronic components to supply our production requirements.
• General stock maintenance and stock rotation.
• Assisting with our rolling stock take and the end of year audit.
• Helping to receive deliveries of all types. Some deliveries may require the use of pallet trucks and trollies to assist with manual handling.
• General housekeeping / organising and cleaning around stores to ensure stock is kept in the best possible condition.
• Assist production staff with any component requests / shortfalls in their kits.
• Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to ensure walkways are left clear, all fire exits are accessible, individual working areas are clean and tidy and safe working practices are followed.
• Follow all the policies and procedures set out in the UKE Employee Handbook.
• Complete all tasks to high standards whilst following ISO guidelines.
• Any other ad hoc duties as and when required.

Additional Information

• This role will require you actively on your feet for most of the day to collect components form their various locations.
• A knowledge of electronic components would be beneficial but not essential all training will be given on site.
• General computer skills will be required.
• A very keen eye for detail and accuracy is essential.
• Moving and handling of boxes and pallets of various weights and dimensions will be required.
• You will be required to follow all antistatic procedures that UKE have in place. This could require you to wear specially designed footwear that will provided as part of your uniform.
