Job description

ABP Langport are currently recruiting for someone to join our Stores team to support the control and maintenance of stock/trays within the stores, ensuring that the customers of the store have their orders fulfilled. Work in partnership with other stores operatives to maximize efficiency and control stock.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday / 6am - 4pm with possibility of overtime
Pay: 12.00 per hour

• Ensure goods received are checked in, visually checked for quality and are recorded on the computer system
• Ensure goods required by production teams are issued in a timely manner
• Data entry and maintenance of the live computerised stock control system
• Carry out stock taking in accordance with instructions from management and provide reports to management
• Carry out investigations in the event of stock discrepancies and make adjustments to computer system based on results of investigations
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised stores area
• Plan and co-ordinate stock to enable orders to be placed in a timely manner to ensure to risk to maintaining optimum production
• The ideal candidate will be highly organized and reliable. It is essential that stores levels are maintained in order that production is not compromised by a lack of appropriate resources. The individual will be a self-starter and able to work on their own initiative.
• No formal qualifications are required for this role, however, forklift training will be provided so previous experience is desirable.
