Engineering Services (Bridgend) Limited is the UK’s largest supplier of new and used recycling equipment that has provided a comprehensive service to the recycling industry for over 40 years.

At 40,000 square feet, our Bridgend works is one of Europe’s largest recycling equipment repair shops and includes a fully equipped machine shop, fabrication, and assembly shop, with overhead craneage capable of lifting to one hundred tonnes. Recent expansion means more spares capacity for a faster turnaround for customers. ESB manufactures most of its own spare parts for most types of machinery in the recycling industry, and with an in-house engineering and design dept, can conduct special bespoke customer projects.

Our company is looking for an experienced Stores Coordinator at our Bridgend site.
Position summary:
To support the Stores & Procurement Manager and be an active member of the team in the effective day to day running of the Stores department to ensure the department runs efficiently and meets the relevant performance indicators as defined by the business.
The position requires coordination of the day-to-day activities, prioritising workloads of the team accordingly, and supporting the Stores team members to facilitate these requirements.
The role requires a dynamic, responsible, meticulous, dependable, and hardworking individual who can perform office duties along with first-hand duties in the warehouse and workshop.
The environment is typical of heavy engineering and the individual must always adhere to Health and Safety regulations.
Main Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Works Order fulfilment: To fulfil the works order requirements of all internal stakeholders and customers in a timely manner.
- Systems: Accurate data entry following daily transactions and stock movements onto relevant IT systems.
- Stock inventory: To provide support in maintaining accurate stock inventory and to ensure the stores areas are always audit ready. To assist in monitoring stock levels by conducting continuous stock checks and undertake periodic internal audits.
- People Skills: Communicating with colleagues and customers in a way that achieves results whilst maintaining professional relationships.
- Flexibility & Resource: Be adaptable to the changing demands of the business and operational needs.
- Health & Safety: To support a Healthy and Safe working environment; ensuring that any issues which may arise are treated with high priority and escalated to management, as necessary.
Skills and Experience:
- Forklift Truck driving licence is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
- Competent IT skills – Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required. Experience of production software packages would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures in the workplace.
- Ability to coordinate workloads, work as part of a team and contribute in a positive manner to the overall performance of the team.
- Ability to maintain diligence when working to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility and commitment to completing the task in hand.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced organisation.
- Excellent mindfulness, right-first-time attitude.
- Current driving licence preferred but not essential.
The role is hourly paid, paid weekly in arrears.
Basic hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. and Friday 8.00 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.
Overtime hours are not guaranteed but are often available most days and on a Saturday morning during busy periods. There is an expectation all Stores staff will be flexible regarding overtime to meet the needs of the business.
All overtime hours worked over the core 39 hour working week will be remunerated at time and a half for hours worked Monday to Saturday, and at double time for hours worked on a Sunday.
Basic hourly rate: £13.00 per hour.
The successful candidate should consider that with reasonable overtime worked they could expect to earn more than £30-35k per annum.
