The Role
As part of the development of its procurement and stock management activities, Jarvie Plant Group is seeking to recruit a Storeperson into its operations in Grangemouth, with a focus on supporting purchasing activities across the group.
The role will report into the Depot Plant Manager (DM), Grangemouth, and operate within the purchasing framework determined by the Procurement Manager to provide service to the Accommodation and Vehicle divisions in Grangemouth and all Jarvie Plant Depots across the group.
Key Responsibilities:
Grangemouth Stock Control
· Work with the DM to develop and maintain a clean and efficiently-designed stores area in the Grangemouth workshop (including Service), for Plant and Accommodation.
· Work with the management team to develop a simple and practical way of managing parts stock within the Insphire ERP system.
· For Grangemouth stores, all goods receipting and put-away activity
· Develop a working relationship with Jarvie purchasing managers to optimise the order process
· Work with workshop fitters and service engineers to fulfil picking lists for workshop job
· Assist with the implementation of the automated vend solution for consignment stock
· Undertake routine purchase ordering for parts replenishment to maintain minimum safety stock
Group-wide Purchasing & Stock Management
· Working with the PM and local depot managers, develop a process for identifying stock requirements around the network and undertake ordering from the Authorise Vendor List (AVL)
· Support the PM in the development of the AVL through negotiation with suppliers
· Ensure stores around the group are well maintained and adequately stocked around the depot network, in line with standards at the central warehouse
· Participate in Jarvie Procurement group meetings
Key Skills:
· Experience of maintaining stock in a warehouse location
· Understanding of warehouse/stock management systems
· Experience of purchasing from external suppliers
· Ability to communicate effectively with managers across the depot network
· Good organisational ability
