Job description
Are you looking for a new job keeping records? How about an exciting role working on a military estate in support of our Army customers? You’ll get to assist with keeping stock of all material and equipment held in the military owned stores. Join a great team at Aspire Defence Services…
You’re like a machine with many parts. Each one working together to get the job done. You’re the central hub of operations. You know all and see all. Everything comes through you before moving on their journey to the customer.
You’re responsible for making sure the people who need parts and equipment get them when it’s needed. You also keep detailed records of every item and material that moves in and out of your doors.
You’re the Keeper of the stores, the Ruler of the storage chambers, and you do a fine job of ensuring all within your sovereign adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
You’re committed to providing the best service you can give, especially when receiving and issuing items across all military owned stores.
But first, meet the team…
With a 35-year contract, making soldiers’ lives better is at the heart of everything we do at Aspire Defence Services.
Seriously, picture a heart (the real one) and imagine how hard it works to keep the body running, making sure every part gets exactly what it needs to thrive. That’s our mission; to deliver a modern, fully serviced, flexible working environment for soldiers.
And just as the heart needs certain parts to keep the body alive, we need the dedication and commitment of our people to support our customers. We deliver a broad range of services for one-third of the British Army living and working on our patch, and we're proud of the work we do.
We’re all about nurturing great teams, and our award-winning safety and wellbeing initiatives are built on keeping an eye out for one another and having a good work-life balance.
In addition to being part of our team, you’ll also get…
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, as well as the option to buy and sell holiday
Contributory Company Pension Plan matched up to 6%, plus individual life assurance
Uniform and PPE
A shopping discounts scheme
Employee assistance and health and wellbeing check ins
Reward and recognition to celebrate outstanding achievements
Free on-site parking
Ready to join the team?
You must have a NVQ2 Distribution, Storekeeping and Warehouse Operations or equivalent qualification, and All Arms Storeman Course qualification.
You should also have knowledge of the MoD accounting system, presently MJDI and JAMES, as well as a fully valid UK Driving Licence.
And though Military Storekeeper experience isn’t essential, it would be desirable to have, along with a Forklift Operators Licence.
Salary: £20,500 per annum
Location: Larkhill
