Job description
Traynors Ltd is a family run business that has grown to become one of the Ireland’s leading experts in vehicle recycling & the sale of quality used car parts. As we continue to grow, we have an opening for a Store Operative at our Armagh branch.
Responsibilities as a Store Operative:
- Receive goods from Dismantling and check operating standards, quality and appearance all match our inventory and stock control systems.
- Removal of tyres, checking the quality of tread depth and checking for any other anomalies
- Disposing of scrap wheels and tyres
- Maintaining good housekeeping practices ensuring all areas are always clean and tidy
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations is met
- Ensure the stock-taking process is followed and up to date, stock movements are processed, any damaged or redundant parts are removed from shelves and the database is updated accordingly
- Ensure returned parts are processed to determine if the part is suitable for resale, regrading or disposal
- General stores duties
- Heavy lifting and manual handling
Skills & Experience preferred but not essential
- Motor Trade experience/mechanical knowledge
- Safety Awareness in Manual Handling
- Ability to visually identify common faults
- Lift and handle heavy weights in a safe manner
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £10.00-£15.00 per hour
