Our client, a subcontract electronics manufacturer, is looking for a Stores Operative to join their existing team. This is a great opportunity to join a local company manufacturing electronic components that are used globally in a wide range of industries!
As a Stores Operative, you will be required to carry out various duties such as:
- Ensuring all goods and materials received, checked, identified, recorded, and stored to the correct procedures.
- Checking order requirements for quality and type.
- Placing incoming parts into kits, suitably protected against damage and to take precautions against damage to parts caused by static discharge.
- Ensuring that minimum stock levels of all consumable items be maintained and order all items when necessary.
- Responding to requests for stock issues as required and ensure the correct procedure is followed.
- Ensuring security of stock at all times and allowing only Authorised Personnel into the stores.
- Carrying out regular stock takes.
- Updating the computerised stock records i.e., receipts and issues and maintaining computer stock records using networked terminal provided to product: - Stock Issues report / Stock Receipts Report / Stock Valuation Report
- General Housekeeping duties for cleanliness and tidiness within the Stores area
The following experience is required:
- Computer literate
- Previous stores experience
- Good attention to detail
Standard working hours are Monday to Thursdays 07:30–16:30 and Fridays 07:30–12:30.
The pay for this role is between £10.70 - £11.00 per hour.
