Job Title: Stores Assistant
Trust Location: East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust
Location: Lister Hospital, Coreys Mill Lane, Stevenage, SG1 4AB
Shift Pattern: Monday- Sunday (5 days out of 7) Full time
Pay: £11.45, plus enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidays
We have temporary 12 week placement opportunities available for stores assistants with the catering team to work within East & North Hertfordshire Trust, Lister Hospital, Coreys Mill Lane, Stevenage SG1 4AB

What you’ll be responsible for:
· Responsible for the receipt, storage, rotation and issue of all food and stock items used within the Catering Department.
· Undertake clerical duties connected with the post and maintain accurate records of stock levels and movements.
· Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations and delivery dates for goods as required in conjunction with the Head Chef, roster and control the kitchen portering staff.
· You will be involved in the operation of a computerised stock control system and will be required to work closely with the catering management team.
· Fill and maintain the cold beverage vending machines
The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
· Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel
· Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
· Physically fit
· Good warehouse/stores knowledge
