We are a local coffee roasting company based in Abbotsford, BC. We roast our gourmet coffees fresh to order in small batches for the best quality tasting coffee. We are excited to work with a select group of reputable coffee suppliers that source our quality coffee beans from around the world with an immense focus on ethical practices to bring our BC communities a responsibly sourced and wholesome cup of brew.

Job description

The successful candidate will have significant prior barista and management experience -

• Lead the team to be effective and efficient whiles focusing on service and product quality
• Effective problem solver
• Create a positive work environment
• Prepare, specialty coffees, teas , sandwiches
• Schedule and train staff
• Ordering and receiving food and beverage products/ supplies (Manage inventory)
• Key holder / close / cash-out
• Communicate important information to team in person and in bi-weekly emails
• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety & Cleanliness of the Coffee Shop
• Daily social media posts to promote the business
• Assist with Hiring
• Recommend ideas to help boost revenues and to reduce costs
• Manage team performance reviews and implement staff recognition program
• Policy and standard implementation

Requirements:

· At least 2 years supervisory and barista experience or 2 years management experience in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

· Must have Food Safe Level 1 or 2 Certification

· Must have at least 1-year experience in cash handling and sales

· Must have their own vehicle or transportation to attend Farmers Markets when required.

· Must be able to lift objects of up to 60lbs

· Must be able to stand for 4 to 5hours straight without seating
