Job description
We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated and enthusiastic Director to lead our team. The Director will be responsible for maintaining the quality of our products and services as well as leading our entire team. The right candidate must have prior experience working in a leadership role and a comprehensive knowledge of our products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the performance of individuals and teams to ensure that organizational goals and objectives are being met.
- Create a structure for the development and implementation of the strategic plan.
- Identify gaps in the organisation's strategy or implementation; define changes necessary to achieve its goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership and direction to the organisation through the planning, management, co-ordination and control of operations, activities, budgets, staff and human resource functions including recruiting, training, developing and evaluating employee performance.
- Maintain a regular schedule of meetings with senior staff to ensure that all matters arising between meetings are addressed promptly; resolve issues; build commitment to organizational changes; monitor progress of implementation of strategic initiatives; promote departmental harmony.
- Define executive's priorities for action.
- Review progress toward achieving goals and objectives.
- Provide opportunity for participation in decision-making by establishing an environment which encourages open communication, responding to employee concerns, questions or suggestions.
- Coordinate activities of boards or committees on behalf of the executive director or chief executive officer;.
