Manager, Budget Analyst
Section 1: About the Job
CHANEL is looking for a BUDGET ANALYST to join our Retail Store Environment & Sales Operations Team in NYC. The purpose of this role is to aid in budget management and tracking for all accounts under the RSE team umbrella. In addition, this individual will support the team with an objective of managing collateral goods, in alignment with business priorities. The role will manage forecasts and inventory levels and support merchandising initiatives for the Display Merchandising and Visual Merchandising Teams. Our ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience and a passion for problem solving and collaboration.
Section 2: What impact you can create at CHANEL:
BUDGET PLANNING:
- Maintain the Retail Store Environment budget file template
- Analyze and reconcile YTD/YTG monthly budget actualization; call out risks or opportunities to ensure overall business targets are well managed
- Be the gatekeeper of all reclass entries in and out of RSE accounts
- Act as Retail Store Environment & Sales Ops liaison to Finance partners
- Communicate budget related deadlines/timeline to the team
- Handle T&E Budgeting communication for Field, RSE/Sales Ops and Educations teams
INVENTORY
- Assess current means of inventory tracking; either model a new comprehensive system or hone what’s existing to continually monitor ongoing needs against inventory / on-order; oversee display and VM collateral inventory across multiple distribution centers, setting inventory minimums and transfer items as needed. Reconcile on an ongoing basis
- Assist with new door opening orders and special project collateral orders, which requires a strong understanding of inventory availability and needs; execute inventory lookups and stock transfers as needed
FORECASTING
- Assess current ways of tracking forecasts for campaign and permanent items (currently via excel); improve tracking systems to provide visibility to internal partners and allow for easier decision making
- Assist with ongoing forecast process via Wave: act as team resource to advise on due dates, provide holistic templates for Display/VM teams to create forecasts, and assist with order entry into campaign management tool
- Partner with supply chain and merchandise planning teams for Retail Store Environment needs as directed

Position Logistics:
- 3-5 Years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 9W 57th Street employee; remote working option (not required), in accordance with Company policy (currently 3 NYO / 2 remote)
- Minimal travel required (an occasional store tour or meeting)

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $63, 400 through $95,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other components [may/will] include additional compensation, benefits, and perks.
