We are a professional, family-run business based in the south east, seeking a Store Manager in our Ashford showroom.
We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and previous managerial experience is essential.
Quality previous Carpet/ Flooring sales experience is also essential.
This role will involve but is not limited to:
- Maintaining and growing Store turnover
- Daily opening and closing of the store
- Assessing quality and safety within the store.
- Effective staff management
- Assisting customers with their purchase
- Organising sub-contractors
- Maintaining stock levels
- Handling customer calls/emails
- Keeping a presentable showroom
- General customer service
- Stock control duties, including cutting carpet.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
All candidates need to have:
- Previous managerial experience
- Strong leadership skills
- A clear knowledge of customer service
- Experience and confidence in both face to face and telephone customer handling
- Ability to learn and retain information quickly
- Ability to solve problems
- Good interpersonal skills
- Polite manner
- Ability to work as part of a team but show individual accountability
Full time, 5 days a week including weekends
SALARY Circa 32k-38k
A training period will be agreed upon at an existing store and all applicants will need to be able to travel for this.
