Shop Supervisor Job Description
Responsibilities:
· Manage and Oversee store staff to ensure they complete their assigned tasks promptly.
· Analyse profitability ratios and implement corrective measures.
· Delegate and perform tasks related to upkeep and organization, including rearranging shelves, setting up displays and cleaning the store and products.
· Coordinate deliveries, Check inventory numbers, record missing or stolen merchandise and plan special discount offers as needed;
· Provide customer service in the shop front attending to customers' needs by finding specific items, correcting pricing mistakes, and administering refunds or discounts;
· Train new staff members and schedule shifts as required.
· Perform any other tasks delegated by management.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
- Strong math skills for inventory management and financial reporting
- Excellent time management skills to ensure that all tasks are completed on time
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of market trends and customer preferences to make informed decisions about inventory management
- Excellent phone etiquette to provide exceptional customer service
