STORE MANAGER "SPIRIT GUIDE" (Full-time):
Company: 1933 Liquor Co. is Vancouver's newest, boutique liquor and wine store.
Location: 895 Great Northern Way, Vancouver BC V5T 1E1
Position: Store Manager
Role Summary: We’re seeking bubbly team members to serve our high-spirited community! This is an excellent opportunity for someone who’d like to join a company from its launch period and learn from it — you’ll gain experience in store opening, brand development, and customer-relationship management. The ideal candidate for this role is outgoing, motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. This role requires standing, counting and ordering inventory, lifting 20-30 lbs cases of alcohol, kneeling, bending, climbing ladders, interacting with customers, working with POS machines, and managing co-workers. Retail store management experience is an asset, but it’s not required; if you have a great attitude and are ready to learn, then we’d love to welcome you to the 1933 team!
Role Responsibilities:
- Sales - assisting customers; answering their questions and making knowledgeable recommendations
- Cashier work - checking out customers using a POS machine
- Inventory - ordering inventory, counting inventory, moving inventory, unpacking boxes, and stocking shelves
- General cleaning - sanitizing, dusting, and sweeping
- Online orders - preparing and packaging
- Private events - hosting, selling, and educating at private tastings
- Management - oversee day-to-day operations, ensure co-workers have the tools to succeed, help train new hires, and prepare reports on sales volumes
Requirements:
- Must have excellent communication skills - you will be required to interact with clients in professional and engaging manner
- Must be 19 years of age or older
- Must be able to lift 30lbs
- Must have, or obtain, Serving It Rightcertification by job start date
- Must be able to work on evenings and weekends
- The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a retail store management position
- Must be able to legally work in Canada
Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Compensation: $60,000 per annum
Benefits: Store discount, performance bonuses, and paid vacation (after 6 months of employment)
