About this opportunity
Become one of our 'First feet on the ground'. Take day-to-day responsibility for, or provides support to the warehouse supervisors in order to develop, improve and set up the warehousing functions for the plant and putting best practises in place from day one.

Responsibilities
- Administer the Spare Parts stores whilst adhering to company policies and procedures
- Ensure that the company procedures are adhered to when receiving or issuing spare parts and machinery consumables
- Maintain a clean, orderly stores facility, keeping accurate records of all movements in liaison with the Warehouse Supervisor
- Issue purchase requisitions for approval
- Monitor quantity and quality of incoming and outgoing spare parts, and consumables
- Engage in activities to monitor and maintain inventory control of spare parts and consumables
- Evaluate inventory levels and notify Plant Buyer with requisitions when re-orders are necessary
- Gather and / or assemble the ordered parts for the requisitioner
- Operate management software inventory module for the spare parts to issue and receive the goods
- Maintain records for the inventory movements
- Verify received spare parts and consumables
- Report discrepancies / damages
- Route / classify the spare parts storage locations
- Prepare store items to be shipped back to suppliers for returns and / or overhauls
- Control stock levels on a regular basis
- Perform workplace housekeeping
- A technical qualification (E.g. NVQ, BTEC, Diploma) in a Mechanical or Logistics discipline or equivalent subject or HNC equivalent (OR) Several years relevant experience in a similar role
- Awareness of commercial business / customer needs whilst putting quality first
- Self-starter, and an effective team player
- Safety and continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English at all levels
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with the use of computers
- Experience within Manufacturing environment
