Job description
Due to the growth of our business, we are seeking a full time Stock & Demand Planner in our Theale office to provide key support across the product and purchasing team, working closely with product managers as well as our vendors to ensure a seamless supply chain.
As Stock & Demand Planner you will analyse data and reports to provide feedback on sales, stock, and forecasts, offering commercially focussed solutions where required.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience across commercial retail or FMCG roles.
Key Responsibilities include;
· Managing stock profiles across multiple vendors by category with a focus on stock holding value, aging stock value, weeks cover and SKU range count.
· Co-ordinating customer demand forecast planning, you will manage the forward view of intake based on run rate, deals and promotional activity, and raise vendor POs for intake. You will create reports to track performance of vendor vs customer demand and track performance of customer actuals vs forecast.
· Targeted and timely reporting including running daily stock and sales, building report to track sales performance against budget / YoY by vendor, Customer performance, Share of business by vendor and channel and Vendor delivery performance.
· Managing vendor SKUs and system structure
· Managing system support and pricing structure
· Aged stock profiling through building and running a weekly aged stock pack with focus on SKUs that are 60+ days, co-ordinating weekly meeting to be organised to review aged stock profile, working on plan of required actions of aged SKUs with brand owners and owning minutes and action log for each meeting with agreed deadline for updates.
Key Skills and Experience
· Ideally you will have experience in a related retail, merchandising or stock analyst role, with a dynamic approach and commercial flair.
· Self-Starter, highly driven and able to identify challenges, find solutions and continuously improve processes.
· Highly IT literate with an awareness of systems and working models. You will have a good understanding of Microsoft Office and mustbe highly proficient in Excel. Experience using Power BI is desirable but not essential.
· Strong numeric and analytical skills. Able to integrate data from numerous sources with great attention to detail.
· Experience of prioritising your work in a fast-paced environment
· Great communication and presentation skills, with ability to build relationships internally and externally.
