Lalys Pharmacy is looking for a forward-thinking, technically minded individual to support and oversee our pharmacy hub stock management operations.
We use Medimat technology to process the majority of our prescriptions from all of our branches centrally at our hub on Fawcett Road. This is a hands-on position which will firstly involve learning how to use Medimat technology and our processes. This will evolve into a stock control role whereby you will be expected to oversee stock management of the hub, and development of our bulk stock warehouse on a day-today basis.
The hub is currently open 0900-1800 Mon to Fri and as we expand we hope to extend these hours.
The right candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail and planning with the ability to use initiative, work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills are essential.
This is a unique position in which full training will be provided. A background involving supply chain management and business management is desirable however the most important aspect is that you must be a real 'hands on' person with a positive attitude to team working and team management.
As Stock Controller, under the supervision of the Automation Lead, you will lead on the day to day operation, stock control, replenishment and contingency planning for the automation facility to provide safe, high quality and effective continuation to pharmacy supply and minimise stock ruptures. You will be supporting the provision of an innovative technology driven medicines management service through automation, robotics and closed loop medicines administration, escalating issues to the Lead where necessary.
Job Description
Manage stock levels within the automation hub and bulk store;
Use Dataplast software to manage live stock and replenish stock in hand in good time, avoiding rupture.
Monitor and adjust stock control practice, analysing issues and suggesting options, actions and follow up on outcomes;
Communicates the status of activities and issues to Automation Lead, Lead Pharmacist, branch leads, drivers and other staff where appropriate;
Troubleshoots as issues arise;
Reviews daily reports, such as ‘non-supply’, cancelled items, discrepancies, etc.;
Manage deliveries in, positioning of stock, filling the MediMat, the movement of stock throughout the facility and deliveries out;
Uses computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, word processing,calendar, email and database software in performing work assignments;
Ensuring adherence to stock management practice within the branches, with the eventual roll-out of live stock to all branches as a future goal
May perform other incidental tasks, as required.

· Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position
A background in production and/or supply chain and logistical planning will be of benefit in this role, no previous experience in community Pharmacy required.

Salary: £11.00-£15.00 per hour
