Job description
Are you looking for a new opportunity and the chance to make a difference? Are you warm, willing to learn, and resilient? Then you are probably just the person we need.
You'll be a Waking Nights Support Worker at our children's home in Wingrave, working with children who have autism and severe learning disabilities. Part of a close-knit team, you'll support children and young people aged 11 to 19 to get settled of a night-time and ready for a good night's sleep. You'll check on them at regular intervals and be there to give emotional support and reassurance should they feel anxious, providing personal care when needed. During the day the children go to the nearby MacIntyre school. The role is 37.5 hours per week and you'll be working shifts on a rota including days, evenings and weekends. We also have part-time roles available.
About You
You may have been a care assistant or support worker before, but if not don’t worry, you don’t need experience – so long as you have the right approach, we'll teach you the rest.
