Distribution Warehouse Controller
Prysmian Group is currently recruiting for 2 Distribution Centre Controllers to support our growing business. We are searching for a friendly, energetic, highly motivated individual who will thrive in a fast-paced environment to join our team. As the Distribution Coordinator, you will be working closely with all staff in the shipping department ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of all domestic and cross border orders. In this position the successful candidate will provide customer support to our distribution customers, ensuring their shipments are shipped accurately and in a timely manner.

Duties:
The essential duties of the Distribution Warehouse Controller will include but are not limited to the following:
Plan shipments internally, including calculating space and overall weight for each load
- Provide support to internal customers by providing freight rates, load quantities and other transportation related information
- Prioritize pick lists for Pickers/Loaders based on established criteria
- Coordinate shipments with external carriers
- Prepare all shipping documentation, packing lists & invoices.
- Arrange shipment transportation and obtain freight rates from carriers
- Ensure all daily shipments are pulled and shipped accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate the scheduling of outbound shipments
- Complete end of day report for on time shipments
- Assist with investigations as requested by the manager.
- Reply to customers emails directly in a timely manner.
- Provide necessary documentation to the customer as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years experience in distribution/logistics environment required.
- Must have experience creating shipping and customs documents, building truckloads and managing day to day load volumes within SAP 1/C.
- Must be able to work in a multitasking high demand position. Working directly with loaders, schedulers and ISR’s on a daily basis.
- Organization. Must be able to prioritize workload in order to meet customer needs, sales targets and on time delivery.
- Good attention to detail and persistence in solving distribution related issues
- Working knowledge of shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and pallet forms
