Hillside Animal Sanctuary, Frettenham - Stock Person (Small Animals)

Full Time Permanent Position

To assist in providing a high standard of care to rescued animals at the sanctuary including rabbits, guinea-pigs, poultry, waterfowl, aviary birds, goats, sheep, equines, camelids and pigs.

Duties

• Preparation of feeds & daily feeding operations
• Cleaning out of animal housing, paddocks and enclosures
• Maintaining safe, clean, warm and dry environments for the animals
• Closely monitoring animal health and well-being
• General cleaning and maintenance of equipment and department

Qualities/Skills

• A genuine interest in animal welfare
• Animal husbandry qualification or experiences of small animals
• Excellent time-keeping and attendance to work
• Current manual driving licence
• Practical hands-on and hard-working approach to work
• Capable of carrying out manual handling
• Ability to work alone and within a team
• Good communication skills
• Able to work outside in all weathers

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
