Waiter
Palm Court
The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for a Waiter in our Palm Court lounge. The dazzling Palm Court is famed as the place where the tradition of afternoon tea was born over 150 years ago. In this role, we are looking for a true hospitality professional, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level.
As a Waiter, your main role will be to:
- welcome guests in a friendly and engaging manner
- demonstrate excellent knowledge of food and beverage menus to guests
- provide prompt, friendly and efficient service
- personalise and engage with guests at every opportunity
- maximise sales opportunities, upsell where appropriate
- create an emotional engagement with guests, thus creating exceptional memories
- be responsible for ensuring bills are dealt with accurately
- maximise service delivery opportunities
Do you have? -
- excellent knowledge of food & beverage, in particular afternoon tea
- previous experience in a similar 5* environment
- flair, passion and a conscientious attitude
- confidence, professionalism and engaging personality
- ability to think outside of the box to surprise and delight our guests
- excellent attention to detail
- clear conversational English language, knowledge of foreign languages is beneficial
