TOMY Europe is a Children's Toy Manufacturer based in the UK, France and Germany, and supplies toys and game products to national and specialised retailers across Europe, Middle East and parts of Asia. TOMY currently has an exciting opportunity for a Stock and Logistics Manager to join our Operations Team in Exeter. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will ensure an efficient and agile supply chain by working in line with the Operations mission statement. You will also manage the Distribution budget and work with TOMY and 3rdParty Logistics (3PL) teams to identify ways to improve Cost to Serve (CTS). You will ensure excellent on-shelf availability, develop and manage the relationship with 3PLs and transport providers, build excellent relationships and ensure that the Service Level Agreement (SLA) is maintained, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are managed and followed through to resolution.
The Role:
- Ensure KPIs stay relevant and fit for purpose.
- Manage the Stock team and Operations Administrator ensuring objectives are in place for ongoing personal development.
- Take ownership of the company’s inventory and ensure accurate records are maintained.
- Ensure 3PL invoices are thoroughly checked and all aspects sit within contracted framework. Where queries are identified, manage through to conclusion.
- Ensure all parties work to the agreed SLA and where action is needed, ensure follow-up to resolution in a timely manner.
- Lead business review meetings with external partners as required and ensure action points are documented and followed to resolution.
- Ensure continuous improvement actions are in place and tracked to conclusion.
- Track the sales budget and work with 3PL to ensure correct resource is available in advance.
- Work with the sales teams to ensure key distribution cost drivers are known within the wider business and ensure CTS overspends are challenged at customer level where possible. Keep POE additional requests to a minimum and work to identify and challenge areas of overspend in the supply chain.
- Manage the stock level – from Purchase Order (PO) stage to stock in warehouse. Challenge POs, look at stock levels and challenge where needed, especially in period of overstock.
- Manage 3rd party vendor performance through the provider’s portal.
- Monitor seafreight carrier performance – identify KPIs.
- Manage returns process and ensure processes are in place to minimize returns. Ensure UK rejected deliveries are handled correctly and if returned to Belgium, it is done within HMRC rules.
- Ensure accurate records are maintained of the inventory and investigate/resolve any discrepancies as they happen.

- Have previous experience working in Operations and/or Distribution (preferred)
- Have an excellent level of competence with the Microsoft Office package including Excel
- Have excellent organizational and time management skills

- Be an excellent communicator with excellent interpersonal skills to build strong business relationships with all stakeholders, to facilitate collaboration

- Have the ability to work well under pressure
- Have experience of budget management

TOMY offers a hybrid working approach, however full-time attendance in our Exeter office will be required for the initial training period, to enable the successful candidate to gain the relevant skills needed for the role.
