Job description
Are you looking for a steady local job with opportunities in a well-established and growing company? If so here at ParkerSteel we have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated Production Operative to join our busy Profile Department at our Canterbury Site.
You will be working on a full time, permanent basis, averaging 38.5 hours per week on a shift of 4 on Days, 4 days off and 4 on Nights with 4 days off and in return you will receive a basic salary of £22,300 with the opportunity to earn an additional £8,000 through our performance and grading scheme as well as the opportunity for regular overtime.
You can expect to work as part of a great team with opportunities for training including becoming competent in overhead crane, forklift and side loader operation, CNC and associated machinery.

Experience is not necessary, being punctual, reliable and being able to work accurately is far more important. You will have a positive approach to learning new skills and about our products and be willing to adhere to our health and safety guidelines. We’ll teach you the rest!
The Person
No experience required, although previous manufacturing or heavy industry experience would be a bonus.
