Store Manager - Cineworld Starbucks - Plymouth
The Role of the Starbucks Store Manager is to lead the Supervisor and Barista team and to support the cinema management team in running the Starbucks store and wider Cinema Operations. You will deploy the team and delegate tasks so that the Starbucks and Cineworld experience is created and maintained for our customers. The role is to work as part of the overall cinema management team to successfully lead the Starbucks and Cinema team. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards and driving performance across all areas of the business. You will act as an ambassador for the guiding principles of Starbucks and Cineworld.
Responsibilities
The cinema is a complex 3 site with 12 screens, situated on the outskirts of Newport near to a very busy retail park. The full management team consists of a General Manager, 2 Cinema Managers, and 5 Team Leaders. The Starbucks store has 1 Store Manager, 3 Shift Supervisors, and a team of Baristas.
The ideal candidate will be an existing Starbucks Shift Supervisor or Team Leader looking to take the next step in their career or an external candidate who has experience in managing in a retail/hospitality environment. You will be extremely motivated, demonstrate that you have a passion for cinema and Starbucks whilst living the values, show strong leadership skills and be fully focused on the Customer Experience.
The Site
Plymouth is a port city in Devon, southwest England. It’s known for its maritime heritage and historic Barbican district. The city sits on the border between the counties of Devon and Cornwall allowing the cinema to have a strategical location to serve both counties. The cinema forms part of the Drake Leisure development (The Barcode) and sits opposite the busiest shopping centre in the West Country, Drake Circus shopping centre which averages a yearly footfall of 17 million.
It is situated on the A374 (Charles Street) and is a 10 minute walk from Plymouth train station, with a regular bus service running between the station and the Centre.
The Cinema is a complexity 3, banding 2 site and boasts 12 state of the art laser auditoriums, including a 450 capacity IMAX and a 4DX. It operates with a Concessions Stand, Baskin Robbins, Pick and Mix and a Starbucks store.
The successful candidate will have a joint reporting line to the General Manager as well as the Starbucks District Manager. Successful candidates may be required to attend a training programme at a local Starbucks store.
The Role
The Store Manager is required to exercise initiative in managing the overall operation of the store. In particular, managing and coaching the team, ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality, managing store performance against budget, stock control, health and safety and security. You will have complete autonomy to create and manage the Starbucks experience being an ambassador of Starbucks’ guiding principles, cultures and values.
