What you'll be doing…
Reporting to the Editor in Chief of History of War you are responsible for writing high-quality content for the print and digital brand. This will also include fact-checking content and working with the brand's Production Editor to ensure the highest accuracy and written quality.
As a member of the Knowledge editorial team, you are expected to contribute ideas towards the History of War and sister brand All About History's forward features planners, showing awareness of market trends, key historical anniversaries, as well as the brands' readerships, to plan the most effective content both in print and online. This will include securing interviews, sourcing imagery, as well as contributing fresh and enticing editorial angles on popular historical subjects.
You will be expected to contribute to the online presence of History of War, updating social media channels and other digital platforms.
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…
- A proven passion for and engagement with history and military history.
- Experience of social media management preferred.
- Strong attention to detail across all content creation.
- Be highly organised and adaptable, with an ability to work under pressure.
