About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Staff Systems Development & Support Officer to join the Staff Recruitment, Payroll & Pensions Services (SRPPS) team to significantly contribute to provide the best service for our customers by supporting users and working to proactively develop our systems. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the core Payroll/HR systems, along with other systems within SRPPS and Finance, as well as enhancing and maintaining the core systems that underpin the operational service of a highly effective service.

About You

As Staff Systems Development & Support Officer, you will:

  • Have an interest and experience in systems maintenance and development.
  • Have administration knowledge of a HR/Payroll system or similar transferable skills for this role.
  • Be able to work flexibly and reliably to meet the needs of the service.
  • Be proactive and solutions focused.
  • Have excellent numerical and IT skills with the ability to think logically.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
  • Be able to prioritise your workload effectively whilst maintaining a high standard.
  • Be able to build effective working relationships and demonstrate an understanding of the business environment.
  • Have a willingness to contribute towards continual development and enhancement of the finance service.
