What You Will Do:
- Be a subject matter expert in the area of corrosion inhibition in the oil and gas industry.
- Adhere to company safety practices and set a good example of safety culture.
- Help our customers and sales team to troubleshoot problems associated with corrosion.
- Act as a mentor to the team and help to train and guide newer members.
- Discuss and draft corrosion inhibitor testing protocols to support recommendations and be able to carry out the necessary laboratory work to justify recommendations.
- Presenting results, findings and recommendations to customers is expected.
- A desire to expand knowledge and capacity through the design and implementation of fundamental research projects as well as publishing the learnings when possible.
- Expand ChampionX capability based on the latest information available in the industry.
Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD and 7 yrs experience
- Experience in a senior research role
- Experience with oilfield corrosion inhibitor applications
- Good working knowledge of linear polarization resistance “bubble” tests, rotating cylinder electrodes and rotating coupon autoclaves.
- Good written and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of oxygen scavengers and biocides.
- Experience with high pressure rotating cylinder electrode for preferential weld corrosion.
