Registered Nurses required at Borough Kidney Treatment Centre (BKTC) Have you considered a career in kidney care? Our dialysis team is currently recruiting band 5 nurses. You will have experience in acute hospital care and be willing to rise to the challenge of learning new skills guided by a supportive team of experienced nurses. Closing Date: 31st October 2023 Interview Date: 8th November 2023 BKTC is a community based dialysis service of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT) providing outpatient dialysis services for a chronic patient group. It is situated near London Bridge and Borough station within easy reach of public transport. GSTT Renal Service is one of the largest in SE England. We are one of the leading centres in the UK for transplantation, dialysis and related care. As a band 5 nurse, your role will be to deliver safe, effective, compassionate care in a friendly, patient centred environment. You will also be involved in health promotion and patient education programmes including our dialysis shared-care initiative. You will be responsible for carrying out clinical practice within the designated clinical areas, ensuring that high-quality, current evidence-based nursing assessment, care planning, implementation, interventions, and evaluations for patients is provided from admission through to discharge. You will be responsible for the application of knowledge across the range of work procedures and practices, underpinned by theoretical knowledge and practical experience. You will act as an advocate for patients within the area, to ensure a patient orientated approach is applied to the delivery of care you will ensure that patients receive high-quality clinical care and a good patient experience, having regard for their customs, religious beliefs and doctrines.
